RedHat Trinity Repository Installation Instructions

 
1. Configure the supplementary EPEL repository

Instructions: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL 

2. Download the YUM configuration file corresponding to your distribution (as root user)

For RHEL/CentOS 5 (v3.5.13.1) 
cd /etc/yum.repos.d
wget http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/el5/trinity-3.5.13-el5.repo

For RHEL 6/CentOS 6 (v3.5.13.1) 
cd /etc/yum.repos.d
wget http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/el6/trinity-3.5.13-el6.repo

3. Install the Trinity desktop environment
yum install trinity-desktop

4. (Optional) Install your locale translation package, e.g for French translation
yum install trinity-i18n-French

Note: you can obtain a list of available TDE packages with the following command: 
yum search trinity-

5. (Optional) Sets TDM as the default display manager
Edit or create file: /etc/sysconfig/desktop

Add/modify the line: 
DISPLAYMANAGER=/opt/trinity/bin/kdm

Save the file then reboot your computer.
