(:Googlemm:) mysql performance monitorngDebug any performance issue and identify the query that is causing problems, by running the command automatically every 1 second as shown below. mysqladmin -u root -ptmppassword -i 1 processlist KILL Syntax KILL [CONNECTION | QUERY] thread_id Each connection to mysqld runs in a separate thread. You can see which threads are running with the SHOW PROCESSLIST statement and kill a thread with the KILL thread_id statement. You can also use the mysqladmin processlist and mysqladmin kill commands to examine and kill threads. Here is an example of SHOW PROCESSLIST output: mysql> SHOW FULL PROCESSLIST\G What is the current status of MySQL server? # mysqladmin -u root -ptmppassword status ubuntu@server3:~$ mysqladmin -uroot -pubuntu proc stat +----+------+-----------+----+---------+------+-------+------------------+ | Id | User | Host | db | Command | Time | State | Info | +----+------+-----------+----+---------+------+-------+------------------+ | 43 | root | localhost | | Query | 0 | | show processlist | +----+------+-----------+----+---------+------+-------+------------------+ Uptime: 1071 Threads: 1 Questions: 327 Slow queries: 0 Opens: 264 Flush tables: 1 Open tables: 23 Queries per second avg: 0.305 ubuntu@server3:~$ mysqladmin -uroot -pubuntu processlist +----+------+-----------+----+---------+------+-------+------------------+ | Id | User | Host | db | Command | Time | State | Info | +----+------+-----------+----+---------+------+-------+------------------+ | 44 | root | localhost | | Query | 0 | | show processlist | +----+------+-----------+----+---------+------+-------+------------------+ ubuntu@server3:~$ mysqladmin -uroot -pubuntu status Uptime: 1090 Threads: 1 Questions: 330 Slow queries: 0 Opens: 264 Flush tables: 1 Open tables: 23 Queries per second avg: 0.302 ubuntu@server3:~$ ubuntu@server3:~$ mysqladmin --help mysqladmin Ver 8.42 Distrib 5.1.63, for debian-linux-gnu on x86_64 Copyright (c) 2000, 2011, Oracle and/or its affiliates.
